Find a Place to Volunteer
Throughout the year, there are many Tennessee State Park events that ask for and rely on volunteer help. From trail maintenance to invasive plant pulls, the help of volunteers is needed and valued. The link below is your first step in finding an event near you and answering the call for help from a Tennessee State Park.
In order to register for a volunteer event at Tennessee State Parks, you will need to create an account in our new volunteer management system. Please reach out to us if you run into any issues or have questions at 615-532-5249 or email@example.com
Other Volunteer Days
2022 Weed Wrangle - March 5
Tennessee State Parks and Natural Areas has partnered with The Garden Club of Nashville and Invasive Plant Control, Inc (IPC) to participate in Weed Wrangle® 2022. Weed Wrangle® is a nationwide clean-up event dedicated to ridding Tennessee of non-native plant species. On Saturday, March 5, 2022, volunteers from across the state will be helping to eradicate invasive plants in public spaces. 2022 TN Promise Saturday - June 25
Tennessee State Parks offers a variety of volunteer events to help TN Promise Scholars log community service hours required to meet their scholarship commitments. Find an event that meets your needs and sign up! This is a great way to bank volunteer service hours while having a little bit of fun at the same time.
2022 National Public Lands Day - September 26
Tennessee State Parks and Natural Areas have been strong supporters of NEEF's National Public Lands Day in the past and their participation continues again this year. Help us celebrate this annual day of caring for shared lands. The annual National Public Lands Day celebration is the largest single-day volunteer effort for America's public lands. A signature event of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), NPLD brings out hundreds of thousands of volunteers on the fourth Saturday in September to assist land managers with environmental projects designed to enhance and restore national parks, recreation areas, wildlife refuges, and other public lands and waters.
